Sales

Global Dairy Solutions is involved in the sale of dairy cows and beef cattle from well-reputed genetics centers worldwide. We deal in the following breeds:

Dairy Cow Breeds

Holstein Breed

Holstein

The Holstein breed originated in Europe and has the highest milk production in the world. They have an unequalled genetically anchored achievement ability, which has no biological ceiling. Genetic improvements of 1 to 2 percent per year are normally considered realistic.

We offer these animals from Australia, Canada, Europe and the USA and work to ensure that the customer fully participates in the selection process of the animals for a satisfying experience.

Friesian

The Friesian breed originated in the Netherlands and is specifically tailored and bred for ideal milk production. They are well known for quality milk and high lifetime yields.

These cows are often admired for their successive lactations. The average Friesian cows have around 3.2 lactations in their lifetime, but some are claimed to have had a staggering 12 to 15 lactations from grazing on both upland and lowland pastures. Now through improved genetics, the breed’s yields are being improved as well.

Brown Swiss

Brown Swiss

Brown Swiss, also called Braunvieh, is known for its frugality, adaptability and strength. It is the oldest of all dairy breeds originated in Switzerland. Brown Swiss are renowned for their role when crossed with other dairy or beef breeds, improving the production and strength of the parent breed.

We offer this breed from Europe, the USA, South America, Canada, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

Simmental

Simmentals are originally from Switzerland. This breed can live for a long time compared to other continental breeds, which significantly cuts herd replacement costs. They are also fertile for a large part of this long lifetime and do not need lengthy intervals between calving. The first lactation for a Simmental cow can yield about 6,000 kg of milk, whereas their subsequent lactations can yield about 9,000 kg.

Cross Breeds

Finally, we also provide crossbreeds to increase the efficiency of milk production. Crossbreeding is one of the most readily available alternatives for the improvement of milk composition, health, fertility, and survival because differences between breeds are much more significant than the variances within the breed, and therefore extra benefits can be achieved from heterosis. Crossbreeding can lead to a combination of favorable characteristics from the breeds involved, based on breed additive genetic effects. We deliver you improved genetics with the best breeding service. It is our commitment we to work along you to explore what is the most suitable choice for your specific plans, and to help you determine the right budget for your desired activities.
